Empowerment Workshops

Two-hour interactive virtual workshops designed to empower participants to navigate their workplace environment. Topics include:

Rest & Workflow for Sustainable Success:

Toxic workplaces send the message that the only way to succeed is to work nonstop and be available during evenings and weekends. However, these methods are antithetical to the way our brains work and can actually lead to low motivation and delayed progress. In this workshop, participants will discover and explore research-backed tools that make work time more effective so they can get back to what matters most to them.

Positive Self-Identity as Resistance:

In our society, marginalized identities are devalued and often derided. Without realizing it, we often internalize negative beliefs about ourselves from the dominant culture. This workshop will help participants recognize, acknowledge, and celebrate the fullness of their identities so that they may navigate their workspace empowered in themselves.

Imposter Phenomenon as a Consequence of Burnout Culture:

Up to 70% of the population may experience Imposter Phenomenon (IP) at least once in their life, but marginalized people do so at increased rates. Typical IP workshops teach us that IP is an individual phenomenon, rather than a symptom of our environment. This workshop will help participants identify the true cause of their imposter thoughts and combat them through collective principles.

Community Care as a Tool for Thriving:

While Audre Lorde taught us that caring for ourselves is political warfare, the current conversation about self-care can be laced with notes of capitalism, colonialism, and individualism. In this workshop, participants will reframe self-care within a community context and learn how to resist oppressive structures through collective principles.
